What's Ahead?

What's up there?
What's ahead on Writing and Wayfaring for 2012? The answer is things known and unknown. Look out for posts on Chicago (my hometown) and a long-overdue post on the El Choro Trek in Bolivia. Also a little spot on the mighty Lake Michigan called the Warren Dunes. Never heard of it? Well, you will after reading my post!

So that's the known. A rather small category compared to the unknown--which works out for a new year full of surprises and unpredictability. While it's good to know where you're going, it's even better to leave open the possibility for detours and unmapped territory. The unknown will probably include a travel book review or two, some guest posts, a few thoughts on great travel movies, and maybe even a report from Belize and/or the Corn Islands in Nicaragua (that's if my will and wanderlust have anything to do with it). Maybe even some plans for another Camino pilgrimage in 2013 (I have my eye on the Portuguese route). Beyond those wishes and dreams--who knows? And how about you? What are your travel plans for 2012?

Guess where this is.

On the amazingly beautiful El Choro Trek in Bolivia.
